Bank of Valletta supports Women in Business
THE ASSOCIATION OF WOMEN IN BUSINESS was founded on July 10th, 1991 by a group of women, who together with the Association's mandate laid the foundation for promoting an environment for women to grow and develop in their business and profession. MAWB is a constituted, non-profit making, non-political organisation; and is completely autonomous.
The Malta Association of Women in Business was accepted as a full member of Les Femmes Chefs d'Entreprises Mondiales at the International Annual General Meeting held in Madrid, 1992. Since then, MAWB has participated at the FCEM World Congresses & International Annual General Meetings.
Through it's affiliation to the FCEM, the Malta Association of Women in Business has maintained contact with other international chapters to enable members to network and expand their business. FCEM has representative status at the United Nations (New York), International Labour Organisation (Geneva), UNIDO (Vienna), The Council of Europe (Strasbourg) and the European Parliament (Brussels).
The Association communicates and confers with all Associations, Organisations and Government agencies to foster the interest of it's members in the pursuit of innovative and effective changes in the business, economic, social and public policy arena.
